Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester to join our team in Manchester. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for executing test plans, identifying defects, and ensuring our software products meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies, along with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct usability testing to ensure software meets user needs.
• Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and define testing criteria.
• Monitor software performance and report any issues to the development team.
• Review test results and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Collaborate on improving the overall user experience based on feedback.
• Ensure complete test coverage on new features.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation in testing.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of software testing experience, preferably in an agile environment

Technical Skills

• Test Automation

Certifications

• Certified Selenium Tester

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with JIRA: Experience in using JIRA for issue tracking and project management.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines: Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment practices.
