Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Rabbit Fancier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care, breeding, and showing of rabbits, ensuring their well-being while promoting their unique qualities to the public. Your knowledge and love for these animals will play a crucial role in our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the breeding process of rabbits and coordinate schedules with the breeding manager.
  • Manage customer inquiries and provide expert advice on rabbit care and husbandry.
  • Maintain accurate health and growth records for all rabbits.
  • Implement enrichment activities to enhance the well-being of rabbits.
  • Develop promotional materials and presentations for local events and shows.
  • Conduct workshops and educational sessions for potential rabbit owners.
  • Evaluate and report on the success of breeding programs and animal health monitoring.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed on best practices in rabbit care.
  • Collaborate with veterinary professionals for health checks and emergencies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal education or certification in animal husbandry is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in rabbit care, breeding, and handling.
