Job Description

We are on the hunt for a Vehicle Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our engineering team in Redcar. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and production of cutting-edge vehicles, ensuring processes are streamlined and efficient. You should have a solid background in automotive engineering, coupled with experience in manufacturing methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects related to vehicle production efficiency.
  • Ensure that the production environment meets all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct testing and analysis of manufactured vehicles to uphold quality standards.
  • Participate in the development of vehicle prototypes and testing processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline vehicle delivery timelines.
  • Document all phases of the manufacturing process for compliance and improvement.
  • Engage with industry professionals to remain updated on the latest technologies and practices.
  • Support external audits and compliance checks.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for future vehicle models.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Engineering Management is beneficial
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the automotive industry
