Job Description

Join our law enforcement team as a Canine Deputy (K-9 Deputy), where you will utilize your skills to work with canines on critical missions, ensuring the safety of the community. You'll be involved in various operations like narcotics detection and public security, playing a key role in community association.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular training sessions with the canine to enhance skills.
  • Assist in crisis situations, providing immediate canine support.
  • Work collaboratively with other police units to execute operations.
  • Document all canine-related incidents and outcomes.
  • Provide demonstrations of the canine's capabilities at community events.
  • Assess and prepare reports on the effectiveness of patrols.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training workshops.
  • Develop strong rapport with your canine for effective teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Any additional canine handling certifications are a plus
Experience
  • Experience in law enforcement or closely related field will be advantageous.
