Soil Analysis Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Soil Analysis Technician to join our team in Wigan. In this role, you will conduct soil tests, analyse samples, and provide key insights to help drive sustainable agricultural practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of soil science and demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse soil samples to evaluate health and fertility levels.
• Conduct fieldwork to gather soil samples from potential sites.
• Generate and present reports based on soil test results to relevant stakeholders.
• Support the development of new analytical techniques in the lab.
• Facilitate training sessions for junior staff on soil sampling techniques.
• Monitor environmental impacts of agricultural practices through regular soil analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in soil analysis or environmental testing
