Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Metal Rotary Head Milling Machine Setup Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating metal milling machines to ensure precision in machined metal workpieces. This role requires technical expertise in machining and a strong focus on quality control.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate metal milling machines for optimum precision.
• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during operational processes.
• Train junior operators on best practices and machine handling.
• Assist in improving production processes for better efficiency and output.
• Record and report production metrics to management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce waste.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss operations and suggest improvements.
• Utilise CAD/CAM software for programming machine parameters.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Formal training or apprenticeship in metalworking or machining

Experience

• Experience in programming and operating CNC milling machines is beneficial
