Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Wildlife Management Officer to join our team in Basingstoke. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation strategies, conducting field assessments, and engaging with local communities to promote wildlife preservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections and monitoring of wildlife habitats.
  • Engage with the public to promote conservation awareness.
  • Coordinate with government agencies for compliance and permits.
  • Utilise GIS tools for mapping and analysing wildlife habitats.
  • Develop reports summarising project outcomes and recommendations.
  • Train and supervise volunteers and interns in conservation practices.
  • Attend conferences and workshops to represent the organisation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Zoology, or a related discipline
  • Master's degree in Conservation Biology is advantageous

  • 4+ years in conservation or wildlife management roles
