Package Supervisor

Job Description

As a Package Supervisor, you will oversee the packaging operations, ensuring all packages are accurately labelled and dispatched. You will lead a dynamic team, coordinate packaging schedules, and maintain compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the packaging line.
• Ensure all packaging is aligned with quality control standards.
• Coordinate with logistics for dispatching packages on time.
• Conduct regular team meetings to address issues and share feedback.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is used safely and effectively.
• Monitor stock levels of packaging materials and report shortages.
• Encourage a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational qualification in logistics is desirable

Experience

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution centre

Technical Skills

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Label Printing Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Communication
• Time Management

Certifications

• Forklift Truck License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles: Knowledge of methodologies for process improvement.
• Familiarity with international shipping and customs regulations: Understanding of compliance in logistics and customs.
