Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Fine Art Valuator to join our expert team in Motherwell. In this role, you will be responsible for appraising a diverse range of fine art pieces, ensuring accurate valuations in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in art history and valuation techniques, along with excellent communication skills to convey findings to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Appraise various artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and prints.
  • Provide expertise on market values and trends in fine art.
  • Draft comprehensive appraisal reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss valuation outcomes and art management strategies.
  • Stay updated with changes in art market laws and appraisal standards.
  • Support marketing efforts by providing insights on artworks for public exhibitions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or Art History
  • Professional qualification in Art Valuation is a plus
Experience
  • Experience working in galleries or auction houses preferred
