Food Quality Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Food Quality Analyst to join our team in Llanelli. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices, ensuring our products meet stringent industry standards. You will play a key role in maintaining quality control procedures and implementing best practices in food science.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and test food products for compliance with health standards.
• Review and respond to customer complaints regarding food quality.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients.
• Support the development of new food products by providing quality insights.
• Utilize statistical process control techniques for product quality improvement.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management.
• Coordinate with the R&D team to address quality issues in new formulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field
• Masters in Food Science or Quality Management is preferable

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in food quality or production environment

Technical Skills

• Understanding of EU food regulations
• Experience with quality assurance software

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Certified Food Scientist (CFS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with product development processes: Experience in collaborating on the development of new food products.
• Knowledge of allergen management: Understanding of managing allergens in food production.
