Job Description

As a Music Dance Therapist, you will be responsible for using music and dance therapy techniques to support individuals' physical, emotional, and mental well-being. You will create tailored therapy sessions, assess client needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote holistic healing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interactive music-dance workshops that foster group cohesion and personal expression.
  • Assess and adapt therapy approaches based on client feedback and progress.
  • Conduct outreach programs to promote the benefits of music therapy to potential clients.
  • Network with local healthcare professionals to enhance referral pathways.
  • Organize and participate in training and workshops that support best practices.
  • Utilize technology to enhance the delivery of therapy sessions, where appropriate.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or Dance Movement Therapy
  • Registered Music Therapist (RMT) or Registered Dance Therapist (RDT) certification is mandatory
Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations with various emotional and physical needs is preferred
