Mechanical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our talented team in Luton. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and maintenance, and a strong understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Assist engineering teams with system upgrades and modifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures in a timely manner.
• Document maintenance procedures and workflows.
• Support the production team with setup and operational advice.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Train new staff on machinery operation and safety protocols.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant technical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Higher national diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a similar role
