Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Engineer to join our talented team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will possess a broad understanding of engineering principles and be ready to tackle diverse projects in a dynamic setting. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining engineering systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual design and analysis of engineering systems.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Create prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for team development.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects with competing deadlines.
  • Collaborate with procurement to select appropriate materials.
  • Ensure quality control at all stages of engineering projects.
  • Document engineering processes and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in engineering, preferably with project lead experience
