Job Description
As a College Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students through their college application journey. You will provide personalized support to help students make informed decisions about their education and future career paths.
Responsibilities
Guide students through the college application process, ensuring they submit complete and compelling applications.
Assist in preparing students for college interviews and campus visits.
Evaluate trends in college admissions and make recommendations to enhance student success.
Conduct workshops for parents on supporting their children's college aspirations.
Encourage students to engage in community service and extracurricular activities to bolster their applications.
Provide insight on financial aid resources and scholarship opportunities.
Create a supportive and safe environment for student exploration and expression.
Participate in ongoing professional development in college counselling.
Foster relationships with local colleges to facilitate student placements.
Document and analyse student outcomes for program improvement.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Professional certification in college counseling is a plus.
Experience
Experience working with international students is preferred.
