Fingerprint Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fingerprint Technician to join our forensic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and comparing fingerprints for criminal investigations and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collect fingerprints from various sources, including crime scenes and suspects.
• Utilize fingerprint identification software for analysing and classifying prints.
• Perform comparisons between collected prints and databases to locate matches.
• Draft professional reports documenting analysis processes and results.
• Ensure meticulous record-keeping of all analysis and identification activities.
• Provide guidance and support to junior technicians during analysis projects.
• Work jointly with law enforcement and forensic professionals to enhance investigations.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and advancements in fingerprint analysis.
• Adhere strictly to industry regulations and compliance standards in fingerprint analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Forensic Science.

Experience

• Experience working with law enforcement agencies is highly advantageous.

Certifications

• Certification in Forensic Science or a related field.

Languages

• English: Fluent
