Job Description

As a Shoe Machine Operator for Luxury Leather Goods Co., you will operate and maintain the McKay Stitcher to produce high-quality leather products. Your role is crucial in ensuring precision and excellence in our stitching processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the McKay Stitcher for various leather products.
• Conduct quality checks on materials pre and post-stitching.
• Troubleshoot and fix operational issues with the machine.
• Maintain detailed records of production volume and machine maintenance.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure efficiency.
• Implement best practices for quality assurance and safety.
• Train new team members on machine operations and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in operating a McKay Stitcher is preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience operating a McKay Stitcher or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Machine maintenance skills
• Basic sewing skills

Soft Skills

• Good hand-eye coordination
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in leather stitching: Hands-on experience in stitching leather products is a plus.
• Knowledge of production machinery: Familiarity with other production equipment or machinery used in leather manufacturing.
