Job Description

As a Mixing and Blending Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate blending of animal feeds according to specific formulations. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards will help us deliver the finest products to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Mix ingredients carefully to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Keep blending machines in good working order, performing routine maintenance.
  • Adjust blending parameters for different feed types as required.
  • Conduct regular inspections of feed quality and adjust as needed.
  • Record daily production quantities and report discrepancies.
  • Train new employees in operational procedures and safety standards.
  • Ensure all blending processes comply with internal and external regulations.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mixing operations.
  • Respond promptly to any quality control issues that arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements

Education
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science
  • Training or certification in feed blending or a related field is advantageous
Experience
  • Previous experience in feed blending or animal feed production is desirable
