Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Adult Neurologist to join our medical team. The successful candidate will diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders in adults, providing expert care and assisting in research activities.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage adult patients with neurological conditions through comprehensive assessments.
  • Utilize diagnostic imaging tools effectively to guide treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe appropriate therapies, ensuring they align with current best practices.
  • Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes.
  • Conduct research studies in collaboration with academic institutions and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain a compassionate approach, ensuring patients and their families feel supported.
  • Document findings and treatment plans accurately in the patients' medical records.
  • Develop educational materials for patients regarding their neurological conditions.
  • Facilitate workshops for healthcare professionals to enhance their understanding of neurology.
  • Contribute to the hospital’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical degree from a recognised institution
  • Completion of a fellowship in a subspecialty of Neurology is advantageous
Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing complex neurological cases.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in diagnostic imaging
  • Experience with EMR systems
Soft Skills
  • Empathy towards patients
  • Strong organisational skills
Certifications
  • Advanced fellowship training is preferred
  • Participation in clinical trials or research projects is advantageous
Languages
  • English: Fluent

  • Experience in teaching and training: Involvement in the education of medical students and residents.
  • Conducting clinical trials: Experience in designing and executing clinical trials for neurological conditions.
