Job Description

As a Childcare Worker at Caring Hands, you will play a vital role in nurturing children aged 0-5, fostering their development through active engagement and play-based learning. You will collaborate with our team to create a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring each child’s needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing environment that meets children’s emotional and physical needs.
• Plan and implement daily activities in alignment with early years standards.
• Work as part of a team, sharing responsibilities for the teaching and care of the children.
• Handle any issues or concerns regarding children's behaviour or development appropriately.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and health and safety.

Requirements

Education

• Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
• Additional training in special needs education is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in childcare or early years settings

Technical Skills

• Behaviour management techniques
• Creative planning for activities

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of Montessori or similar educational approaches: Familiarity with Montessori principles and methods of education.
• Experience in a team leadership role: Previous experience guiding and leading a team of childcare professionals.
