Childcare Assistant

Job Description

As a Childcare Assistant in Belfast, you will play a key role in providing a safe and engaging environment for young children. You will support the lead educators in delivering educational activities and ensuring every child's needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with educators to facilitate a safe learning environment.
• Encourage and support children's participation in activities.
• Assist with record-keeping regarding children's development.
• Promote positive and productive behaviour management.
• Help prepare and clean up after activities.
• Intervene in conflicts and support resolution among children.
• Stay updated with childcare regulations and best practices.
• Develop strong relationships with children to build trust and support.

Requirements

Education

• Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
• Level 3 qualification in Childcare is preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Child Development Knowledge
• First Aid Certification

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Safeguarding Children Training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual capabilities: Fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
