Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated High-Energy Forming Equipment Operator to join our excellent manufacturing team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating high-energy forming equipment to produce precision components for various sectors including automotive and aerospace. The right applicant will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up high-energy forming machines and conduct pre-production checks.
  • Monitor machine operations, adjusting settings as necessary to ensure precision.
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials and finished products.
  • Work collaboratively with other operators and supervisors to streamline operations.
  • Document and report any production issues or equipment failures.
  • Assist in training new staff on equipment operation and safety standards.
  • Support lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the workspace.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss efficiencies and improvements.
  • Keep up with industry trends and advancements in equipment technology.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training in engineering or manufacturing is an advantage
Experience
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
