Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Doncaster. You will play a critical role in providing support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, delivering therapeutic interventions, and facilitating recovery. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

  • Utilise evidence-based practices to support clients.
  • Run workshops and educational sessions on mental health topics.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic approaches as necessary.
  • Provide support for families affected by mental health issues.
  • Assist in developing community outreach programs.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Engage in research and contribute to best practices in mental health.
  • Collaborate with community resources for client support.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • Master's degree in Counseling or Mental Health is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience providing mental health counselling.
Technical Skills
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Certifications
  • Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC)
