Inpatient Nursing Aide

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Inpatient Nursing Aide to join our compassionate team, providing essential care to our patients. You will assist with daily activities, maintain a safe environment, and support nurses in delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with daily living activities and ensure their comfort
• Provide assistance to nursing staff during procedures and patient assessments
• Regularly communicate with patients to address their needs and concerns
• Aid in the organization of patient care supplies and equipment
• Participate in training and continuous education programs as required

Requirements

Education

• A valid Nursing Aide certification or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience as an Inpatient Nursing Aide is preferred but not mandatory.

Technical Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of infection control procedures

Soft Skills

• Empathy and compassion towards patients
• Ability to work well within a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a similar healthcare setting: Experience in hospitals or residential care homes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with specific medical conditions and their care requirements: Understanding of chronic conditions and associated patient care.
