Job Description

As a Structural Metal Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in our production team, responsible for constructing and repairing various metal structures. You will collaborate closely with engineers and supervisors to interpret specifications and ensure the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the engineering team to develop solutions to fabrication challenges.
• Maintain high standards of safety and quality in all operations.
• Assist in the development of new fabrication techniques.
• Train and mentor new employees in metal fabrication practices.
• Assist with stock management and ordering of materials.
• Participate actively in team problem-solving initiatives.
• Record and report any equipment malfunctions to management.
• Follow up on maintenance schedules for machinery.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of an apprenticeship or relevant trade qualification.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a fabrication role.

Technical Skills

• Metalworking techniques
• CNC operation and programming

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Time management

Certifications

• Forklift operation certification.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to operate overhead cranes.: Hands-on experience with overhead lifting equipment.
• Experience with custom fabrication projects.: A proven track record in executing unique and complex fabrication tasks.
