We are seeking a dedicated Sacristan to perform vital religious and ceremonial duties in our church. The Sacristan will ensure the sanctity of our worship space, coordinate liturgical events, and maintain the proper handling of religious artifacts.
Responsibilities
Prepare services by setting up and cleaning the church.
Assist in preparing and storing religious items after services.
Help direct volunteers during events.
Control the audio-visual setup for ceremonies.
Maintain an inventory of church materials.
Support community outreach and events.
Participate in training for new volunteers.
Assist with communication related to upcoming church events.
Ensure all equipment and areas are ready for use by clergy and attendees.
Maintain a schedule for church activities and ceremonies.
Requirements
Education
Knowledge of local customs and traditions.
Experience
Experience in volunteer roles within religious settings is a plus.
