Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Extracorporeal Circulation Specialist to join our dedicated surgical team. In this role, you will operate and manage extracorporeal circulation devices during critical surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and safety. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of complex cardiovascular interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of extracorporeal circulation systems during cardiac surgeries.
  • Ensure that all perfusion equipment is functioning correctly prior to surgical intervention.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and anaesthetists to coordinate optimal patient care during procedures.
  • Stay current with advancements in perfusion technologies and methodologies.
  • Conduct regular audits of equipment and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist with patient assessments prior to and during surgery to determine appropriate perfusion strategies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training regarding new healthcare technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Perfusion Science or Biomedical Engineering
  • Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) status is preferred
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in perfusion services
Technical Skills
  • Advanced ECMO Techniques
  • Perfusion Data Analysis Tools
