Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Sugar Cane Planter Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our sugar cane planter machines, ensuring that all operations are performed in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive and manage sugar cane planter machinery efficiently
• Collaborate with the farming team to ensure optimal planting schedules
• Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure machinery is in good working order
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during operations
• Train new team members on machine operation and safety practices
• Maintain accurate records of produced output and equipment use
• Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements
• Assist in harvesting and other agricultural tasks as needed

Requirements

Education

• Previous experience in an agricultural environment preferred

Experience

• Experience in the sugar cane industry is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic systems experience
• GPS and mapping software

Soft Skills

• Flexibility
• Physical fitness

• Previous experience with machinery maintenance: Skills in carrying out routine inspections and repairs.
