Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Buyers and Purchasing Agent for Farm Products to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the agricultural sector, particularly in hog trading, and a strong understanding of market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify purchasing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and vendor interactions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or agricultural sciences
  • CFA or equivalent accreditation is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in hog trading or related commodities trading
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in financial software and Excel
  • Experience with trading platforms
Soft Skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Adaptability
