Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have expertise in structural engineering, focusing on the design, analysis, and evaluation of various structures, including buildings and bridges. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to innovate are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design projects from conception through completion.
  • Utilize design software to perform structural modelling.
  • Prepare analysis reports and documentation for various projects.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise.
  • Mentor junior engineers and assist with their professional development.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and sustainability practices throughout projects.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate materials for construction.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance structural reliability.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Chartered status or equivalent is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
Technical Skills
  • Structural Analysis Software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro)
  • AutoCAD and Revit
  • Mathcad

Certifications
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng)

Advantageous

  • Understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards: Familiarity with relevant codes and standards for structural engineering.
