Job Description

We are seeking an Urban and Regional Planner who is passionate about creating effective land use strategies and improving urban environments. The role entails developing comprehensive planning policies, conducting environmental assessments, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to create sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of planning applications.
  • Engage with communities and stakeholders through public consultations.
  • Develop comprehensive reports and policy documents.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather community insights.
  • Collaborate with environmental specialists to assess impacts.
  • Review and interpret local and national planning legislation.
  • Provide professional advice to clients regarding land use strategies.
  • Support strategic planning processes in relation to urban regeneration.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant software tools for planning.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Membership or eligibility for membership in a relevant professional association (e.g., Royal Town Planning Institute)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in land use planning or related field
Technical Skills
  • GIS (Geographic Information System) software
