Job Description

As a Dressage Judge, you will play a pivotal role in assessing equestrian competitors during Dressage events. Your responsibilities will involve evaluating horse-rider combinations, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining fairness throughout the judging process.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the quality of horse gaits, movements, and overall performance during dressage tests.
  • Ensure adherence to competition rules and regulations by closely observing and analyzing each rider's execution of required movements.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to riders to help them improve their dressage skills.
  • Stay informed about current dressage trends, rules, and judging criteria.
  • Assist in organising dressage competitions, including scheduling and participant coordination.

Requirements

Education
  • Knowledge of horse anatomy, movement, and behaviour
Experience
  • Experience as a professional Dressage rider would be advantageous
Technical Skills
  • Ability to judge other equestrian disciplines
Languages
  • Additional languages: Desirable

  • Expertise in evaluating Freestyle routines and music selection: In-depth understanding of the artistic elements of Dressage.
  • Active membership in Dressage associations or organisations: Demonstrates commitment to the sport and ongoing involvement.
