Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will provide high-quality veterinary care to a diverse range of animals while working closely with a passionate team of professionals. This role includes performing surgeries, conducting examinations, and developing treatment plans tailored to individual patients.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions in pets.
  • Perform a variety of surgical and dental procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing preventative care programs.
  • Engage actively in client education and communication.
  • Work with the veterinary team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Monitor the progress and recovery of patients post-treatment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized veterinary practice environment.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and professional development.
  • Provide compassionate end-of-life care for terminally ill animals.
  • Contribute to the clinic’s policies and procedures regarding animal care.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the UK
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in veterinary practice
