Job Description

As a Public Health Officer in Edinburgh, you'll play a crucial role in promoting community health and well-being. Your responsibilities will include developing health improvement plans, coordinating public health initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders to implement effective health strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct public health research to contribute to health policy.
  • Create educational materials and resources tailored to community needs.
  • Collaborate with schools and businesses on health promotion strategies.
  • Evaluate the impact of public health initiatives on community health outcomes.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for public health issues in Edinburgh.
  • Participate in regional and national public health forums.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in public health or health promotion
