Test Scorer

Job Description

As a Test Scorer, your role will revolve around scoring and evaluating various tests and assessments. You will be responsible for ensuring that tests are administered fairly, maintaining accuracy in scoring, and providing timely feedback to test takers and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate various types of academic and vocational tests.
• Ensure fair and consistent scoring across assessments.
• Assist in maintaining testing materials and guidelines.
• Provide support and guidance to fellow assessors.
• Participate in training sessions for new scoring methods.
• Identify areas for improvement in testing and assessment.
• Monitor compliance with assessment regulations.
• Document all scoring decisions clearly and systematically.
• Support the development of new assessment tools.
• Foster a collaborative culture within the assessment team.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in education, psychology, or a related field is preferred

Experience

• Preferred experience in a similar role or assessment environment.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with assessment software (e.g., ExamSoft, Blackboard)

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills

Advantageous

• Experience with non-native English speakers: Ability to assess and score diverse populations effectively.
