Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Leeds. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, ensuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition. This role requires expertise in mechanical diagnostics, electrical systems, and a commitment to safety standards. The ideal candidate should have a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair mechanical components to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement solutions.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the workshop.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of spare parts.
• Document all repairs and maintenance activities meticulously.
• Perform modifications and upgrades to enhance equipment efficiency.
• Engage in cross-training opportunities to broaden skill set and knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Engineering
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Mechanical Repair

Certifications

• HSE First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
