Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter with experience in residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of carpentry tasks, ensuring the highest quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilise various carpentry tools and machinery for cutting and shaping materials.
• Oversee and ensure the quality of work produced by less experienced carpenters.
• Maintain accurate records of all work and materials used on the job.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
• Perform physical tasks in various weather conditions and environments.
• Implement effective time management to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery
• Valid CSCS card

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of professional carpentry experience, including at least 2 years at journeyman level.

Technical Skills

• Carpentry skills
• Blueprint reading
• Tool operation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Teamwork

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cabinetmaking or custom furniture: Knowledge and skills in crafting bespoke wooden furniture.
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices: Understanding of eco-friendly materials and methods in construction.
