Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions in pets and livestock. You will play a critical role in providing high-quality veterinary services and developing strong relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses in animals.
  • Perform routine surgeries and emergency procedures.
  • Communicate with clients about their pet's health status.
  • Conduct preventive health consultations and vaccinations.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies.
  • Collaborate with specialists on complex cases.
  • Oversee the work of veterinary assistants and technicians.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment.
  • Engage in community veterinary programs and outreach.
  • Educate pet owners on health care practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Veterinary Medicine degree (or equivalent)
  • Specialist qualifications preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in veterinary practice
