Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Manchester. This role involves managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset, allowing them to contribute to cost-saving initiatives and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate purchasing activities with a focus on sustainability and ethical sourcing.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and develop corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Assist in the formulation of budget proposals based on procurement needs.
  • Engage with suppliers to negotiate contracts and pricing structures.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and policies.
  • Develop risk assessment strategies for sourcing decisions.
  • Prepare and analyse data for procurement reporting.
  • Support the implementation of new procurement technologies.
  • Mentor and train new team members on procurement processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior procurement role
