As a Sawyer, you will be responsible for operating various sawing equipment to efficiently cut and shape wood for applications such as furniture, construction, and packaging. You will collaborate with a team of skilled craftsmen to ensure that all wood meets quality standards while upholding safety protocols in a busy production environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of saws, including table saws and band saws, to process timber.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and report any defects.
  • Keep sawing equipment clean and free from obstructions to maintain efficiency.
  • Work with the Quality Control team to ensure all standards are met.
  • Participate in regular safety audits to uphold workplace safety.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to maintain supply inventory.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal training in woodworking or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in sawing equipment operation and maintenance Hands-on experience with various sawing machines.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Skilled in reading and following construction plans.
  • Attention to detail Exceptional focus on quality control.
  • Effective communication Strong ability to collaborate within a team.
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues: Experience in identifying and resolving mechanical problems.
