Health and Safety Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Officer to oversee compliance with health and safety regulations in our Edinburgh operations. The successful applicant will ensure that all safety measures are implemented effectively, fostering a culture of safety and awareness throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate hazardous conditions and implement necessary safety measures.
• Develop health and safety training programs for employees.
• Assist in creating a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with management to improve workplace safety practices.
• Review and update emergency response plans.
• Coordinate with external agencies during safety inspections.
• Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics.
• Provide expert advice on health and safety issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• NEBOSH qualification is highly desirable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in health and safety roles
