Prepress Technician

Job Description

As a Prepress Technician at our London-based printing company, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality offset lithographic plates. You will be responsible for interpreting job orders, operating machinery, and ensuring our printing standards are met consistently.

Responsibilities

• Create and prepare lithographic printing plates using appropriate equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Perform troubleshooting on machines and resolve technical issues swiftly.
• Collaborate closely with the production manager and press operators.
• Evaluate output quality and make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain documentation of all procedures and production activities.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in printing is highly desired

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience within the printing industry

Technical Skills

• Pre-press Operations
• Colour Theory

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Teamwork

Advantageous

• Experience with CAD Software: Knowledge of CAD tools may be beneficial for layout purposes.
• Understanding of Print Finishing Processes: Familiarity with processes such as lamination and binding.
