Job Description

An agricultural equipment operator is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of agricultural machinery and equipment. This role supports farm operations by ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and contributes to the overall efficiency of the farm.

Responsibilities

• Utilize various agricultural equipment for planting, harvesting, and daily farm operations.
• Conduct regular inspections on machinery and perform necessary repairs.
• Work closely with the farm team to execute planting and harvest schedules.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations while handling equipment.
• Participate in training sessions to learn about new agricultural technologies.
• Assist in maintaining an effective inventory of agricultural supplies and tools.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
• Keep detailed logs of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
• Implement sustainable practices in everyday operations.
• Provide support in the training of new equipment operators.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field preferred

Experience

• Previous experience operating farm machinery is essential.
