Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Textile Knitting and Weaving Machine Setter to join our dynamic team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating needle looms, ensuring optimal performance and quality of woven fabrics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications.
• Monitor weaving operations to maintain consistent quality.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform regular machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to improve efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior staff on machine operations.
• Maintain records of machine performance and production output.
• Follow health and safety regulations in all aspects of the job.
• Manage fabric materials and ensure the correct inventory levels.
• Constantly seek ways to enhance quality and reduce waste.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in machinery operation preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in textile machine operation or similar field
