Job Description

As a Biomass Power Plant Manager, you will oversee the daily operations and management of our biomass facilities. You will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, manage budgets, and lead a skilled team to enhance operational efficiency. Your role will be crucial in driving the transition to renewable energy while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all aspects of plant operations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Lead project management initiatives to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  • Audit and maintain operational performance against established benchmarks.
  • Drive team performance through mentoring and skills development.
  • Foster a culture of safety within the team and ensure adherence to health regulations.
  • Evaluate and report on plant performance metrics to senior management.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers.
  • Continuously assess and implement best practices in utilities operations.
  • Develop risk management strategies related to plant operations.
  • Engage in community outreach efforts to promote sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Energy Management is advantageous
Experience
  • At least 7 years' experience in renewable energy or utilities management
