Job Description

As a Medical Anthropologist, you will utilise your expertise to conduct comprehensive research on health and healthcare systems. Your primary focus will be on analysing cultural practices that influence medical treatment decisions, thereby contributing to culturally sensitive healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Explore the intersection of culture and health through qualitative methods.
  • Facilitate workshops to educate healthcare professionals about cultural sensitivity.
  • Conduct fieldwork in diverse communities to gather qualitative insights.
  • Support the implementation of evidence-based practices in healthcare settings.
  • Evaluate the impact of interventions on community health outcomes.
  • Mentor junior researchers and students in anthropological methodologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Medical Anthropology or related field
  • Ph.D. is preferred
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical anthropology research is required.
