Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Derby. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical design principles and experience in developing innovative solutions to engineering challenges. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze mechanical designs using CAD software.
• Collaborate with the product development team to refine engineering solutions.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Contribute to cost estimation and budgeting for projects.
• Provide training and support to junior engineers and interns.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering

Technical Skills

• CAD Software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Mechanical Systems Analysis

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with FEA software: Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis tools for simulation.
