We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Sheffield with a focus on improving our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with teams to identify inefficiencies, implement effective solutions, and ensure product quality.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure manufacturability of new products.
Identify process improvements and implement solutions to reduce waste and increase production output.
Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing defects and develop corrective actions.
Work with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Prepare technical reports and documentation for processes and equipment.
Assist in the training and development of manufacturing staff in new procedures and technologies.
Monitor and report on production metrics to guide strategic decisions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Master's degree preferred
Experience
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
