Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Sheffield with a focus on improving our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with teams to identify inefficiencies, implement effective solutions, and ensure product quality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions to reduce waste and increase production output.
• Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing defects and develop corrective actions.
• Work with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for processes and equipment.
• Assist in the training and development of manufacturing staff in new procedures and technologies.
• Monitor and report on production metrics to guide strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
