Job Description

As a Sawing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will play a vital role in the production process by cutting wood blocks into specified dimensions for use in letterpress printing. The successful candidate will operate various cutting machines while maintaining quality standards in a busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up sawing machines and ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Monitor production output and maintain quality standards.
• Assist with inventory management of wood supplies.
• Ensure proper tool storage and handling practices.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams for product inspections.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Work with other teams to improve workflow efficiency.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in machining or handling wood products is a plus

Experience

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in woodworking or machinery operation

Technical Skills

• CNC machine operation
• Joinery skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Forklift Operator License

Languages

• English: Fluent
