Yard Motor Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable Yard Motor Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. You will be responsible for operating yard motor vehicles to transport materials and ensure the efficient running of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive yard motor vehicles to designated locations within the yard.
• Load and secure freight onto vehicles for transport.
• Maintain equipment according to operational standards.
• Assist in inventory tracking and management.
• Participate in training on safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in training new operators as needed.
• Engage actively in team meetings to discuss yard operations.
• Monitor yard activity to ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment

Technical Skills

• Yard Equipment Operation
• Safety Protocols

Certifications

• Yard Motor Vehicle Operator Certification
• Health and Safety Training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• First Aid Certification: Certification in First Aid is advantageous for working in busy warehouse environments.
