Job Responsibilities
  • Transport goods and products safely and efficiently over long distances.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain the vehicle at regular intervals for optimal performance.
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes and delivery instructions.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road.
  • Assist in loading and unloading cargo when required.
  • Maintain logs of daily activities and vehicle inspections.
  • Collaborate with the transportation team to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance driving skills and safety awareness.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
Job Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 driving licence
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Excellent driving skills Proficient in driving heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Geographical knowledge Solid understanding of UK road networks and navigation systems.
  • Communication Ability to effectively liaise with colleagues and clients.
  • Time Management Skilled in managing schedules and adhering to deadlines.
  • Driver CPC qualification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience with refrigerated transport: Experience transporting temperature-sensitive goods safely.
  • Experience with oversized loads: Experience handling and transporting larger than standard freight.
